More stories

I took the girls putt putt and there were go carts there so we did that too. Sasha was a wild driver - Anastasia was very cautious. Sasha lapped her! BUt Anastasia didn't mind - she was happy playing it safe!

Here's some stories from folks who are hosting kids from Anastasia's orphanage this summer:
• He LOVES to swim - so he wears his swim trunks and Bengals jersey everywhere - just in case he gets the opportunity to jump in the pool.
• About a week ago she was mad at me - cause I was making her go to bed We have same routine every night where we hold hands and pray and we all say amen - well the night she was mad she kept her back to me - wouldn't even look at me - but when we got ready to pray - she stuck her little hand behind her and grabbed my hand and held it while we prayed - still with her back to me!!!
• Last night I was tucking the three kids in bed. My host child tried to tell me something that was clearly important to him, but I couldn't understand him. He repeated himself and tried several times to tell me what he wanted. Finally he gave up, just grabbed my hand and said "alleluia!". He was trying to tell me that he wanted to PRAY first!!! Each night at bedtime we pray together, we hold hands and I pray for them and they all say "amen". I guess I forgot last night but he didn't forget. He really wanted to make sure we prayed before going to sleep.
• One of the kids received money from his host family for his birthday. When asked what he’d like to purchase with the money he replied, “a cell phone so I can call you when I get back to Ukraine.”
• After we bought him new shoes we went to Kroger. At Kroger he kept running into things because he couldn’t take his eyes off of his new shoes.
