fixing up the room

Anastasia was getting very anxious to get her room ready for our new arrival. So we moved some beds and furniture around, and thanks to my friend Jamie who gave us a mattress and box spring, we now have beds for everyone here now plus one! We got some great bring pink shag throw rugs (both the girls love pink) and a new quilt for our new arrival. The picture with Anastasia on the phone is her telling a special someone across the Atlantic about her new bed.

I'm talking cryptically because we've been warned not to give too many details prior to the completion of the adoption. We'll go private right before we leave so that when we're over there we'll be able to post pictures.

Three families are leaving for Ukraine this week as they all have court next week (couldn't get a hearing before the holidays) so we hope to have three more kids home by the end of February. Very exciting.

Anastasia and Vadim have been having a great time and have spent lots of time together. They've been to the museum, to the pool, she went to his first indoor soccer game, sledding . . . . She said it's still hard to believe that he's here - forever. By the end of the school year we'll have FOUR kids from Anastasia's orphanage at our little middle school. Crazy!
