Blessed!

Here's an assortment of pics. She got new glasses yesterday and loves them. She's been counting EVERYTHING cause she says before her glasses she couldn't count these things. She watched Wes in his HIgh SChool Tennis match. She was a VERY ENTHUSIASTIC cheerleader. WE had to go over the rules of etiquette for tennis. Like you don't yell, "WOO HOO WES - YOU GOOD!" during the middle of a point. ANd you don't yell, "YEAH WES - YOU GOT HIM" when the opponent double faults. Thankfully everyone was very understanding and she was a quick learner.

We never dreamed this would be so much fun. S With all that is going on in Ukraine now - it truly is a miracle that she's home. THere are many folks who submitted their paperwork after us and still have not traveled. With each passing day it's more and more evident that it was God's plan all along for her to be here - she fits right in with the other three.

For those kids in Ukraine who are not adopted their futures are very bleak. When we left many of them asked us to "remember me." Some asked for us to help them find a mom and a dad. We still see those faces of the ones we left behind and it breaks our hearts.

Some people are shocked by what happens to orphans in Ukraine. Here's some statistics:
•There are over 100,000 orphans in Ukraine.
•The older an orphan gets, the chances for his/her adoption drastically decrease.
•Each year many orphans between 15 to 18-years-old leave the orphanages.
•Most of these orphans have no one to turn to for help.
•About 10% of them will commit suicide after leaving the orphanage before their 18th birthday.
•60% of the girls will end up in prostitution.
•70% of the boys will enter a life of crime.
•Only 27% of these youth will find work.
