It's official. One of Anastasia's best friends, Vadim, has a mom, a dad and a little brother. Anastasia and Vadim were very close in the orphanage and were like a little old couple this summer - so comfortable with each other. Mark took Anastasia, Vadim and our host child camping this summer. Here's a picture from the camping trip. Vadim would sing to Anastasia in Russian. WHen I asked what he was singing about he said, "good friends!" At the airport, Anastasia had a really hard time saying good-bye to him - in just few days we'll be greeting him at the airport as he comes home to his family. And he'll be in the same school as Anastasia. Here's a picture of him with Rachel too. Mark and I fell in love with him three years ago. He's one of the reasons we so wanted to get these kids over here this summer. Zhenya is spending her last night in the orphanage too. Beth will pick her up tomorrow and finish up paperwork! WOOHOO!!
