Well - yesterday found out there was a "difficulty" with obtaining Anastasia's passport. Won't go into long boring story - but TYPICAL! Now we're looking at end of next week - that's right, we're here for another week - before we can possibly get out of here. So if we get to leave by the end of next week, we will have spent EIGHT weeks in Kiev and it will have taken SIX MONTHS since the day we met her to get her home. UNBELIEVABLE! We're frustrated, but . . . Had a good day with her today. Met Jennifer and her mom for lunch, hit the toy store and rode the escalator and elevator in a mall - the things we'll do to get out of the apartment. Anastasia's been keeping busy bouncing a ball in the apartment - I'm sure the folks under us just love that - and doing crafts. Going just a tad stir crazy in this TINY studio apartment. Considered moving but don't know if we want to go through hassle of packing up.
We now have internet access in our apartment - which is a HUGE PLUS!! We've been here so long we've made some contacts who are trying to help make our stay more tolerable and they helped us with internet. It's not that tough.
So keep those emails coming - it's keeping us from going nutty. My sister, Leta, said she was going to make a big Thanksgiving dinner for us when we get home - and Mark said he was hoping to be home by 4th of July!!

Oh man!! Unbelievable. I am sure you are so ready to be home. I remember what I felt like after just 2 weeks. That's great that you have internet access now. Gives you something to use up a bit of your time waiting. I too will pray for a depature soon.
