We have laughed more during the past 24 hours than we have in a long time. The videos and chatting with the kids have certainly helped, and have loved your newsy emails about the CATS, the Super Bowl, life in your house, life with your kids . . . Carter even gave us a play by play of what went on at Crossroads on Sunday (by the way he LOVED that CSM got to participate in the auditorium - and he thought Brian and Brian were very funny!!!) Not much has happened as far as progress here this weekend. We had not talked to our facilitator since Thursday so Mark gave him a ring today. We have some stuff we need to do as far as Anastasia has some stuff she wants to get from Grandma's apartment and we want to visit Grandma again before we leave. Anastasia has talked about her crazy brothers and sister all day today. One of you suggested that is sounded like HOME ALONE at our house! Yep - at least they're showing us the videos! Wesley said Rachel made a video of him "fully exposed" - Mark suggested we preview that one before showing to Anastasia!!! I loved the Madeline books as a kid and my mom loves to write rhymes, so she made a little rhyme like that about Anastasia - very funny - but then as we continue to get delayed some of the words don't seem suitable for a young audience - so mom has put off finishing her "story"!!!!
night before last around midnight, I heard some rustling in Anastasia's bed (of course she's just 3 feet from us) and she was reading her book under her covers with a flashlight! Last night she was reading before she went to bed too - and was laughing - she said the book was very funny - it was written in Ukrainian. We are going to pick up some Harry Potter books in Russian or Ukrainian before we leave. That seems to be a good escape for her.
Here's some photos of her latest artwork!!
