Hey - had fun yesterday at Ukraine's celebration. TONS AND TONS of people - thousands. We got to see the president speak - actually saw him on large screen. It was like a HUGE GIGANTIC Octoberfest. It was cool watching the people - they were righteously proud of how far they have come. Even though we couldn't understand a word - it was cool. Sweet, kind people. And with all those thousands of people, we ran into Kristen and Boyd so saw some of the sights with them,Running into them was a God-thing as we had tried to get across the street four different places and on our 5th try - there they sat! Then had lunch at the coolest cafe with ENGLISH menus! Spent about 2 hours there - and the best part - toilets that flush! If you haven't traveled in Europe, you don't understand what a luxury that is. Then we went to see Skeleton Key at a very modern theatre. Unless it is the only English speaking movie playing in town (which this was) we don't recommend it. Got home after dark - but the town was still going and very crowded. Felt like we got a real feel for the people of Ukraine. ON way to market - meeting for pizza tonight with - guess who!! The only people we know here!! Being a part of the independence Day Celebration helped us even more get a sense for the country and the people and we look at it as one more way that God is preparing us for the newest little Botto. We're actually pretty calm about it all now - but will still be VERY EXCITED when we get our appointment!

Loved the picture! PLEASE do us a favor in the spare time you have and write down the name of any restaurants or attractions you encounter that have flushing toilets!!! I don't think I'll share this little gem with J. until we're enroute (still no word yet on a date for our trip)! Glad you're having fun--will be praying for your appointment at 11:00 p.m. our time tonight.
Love,
the other Kim
