We're here

Hey all - uneventful flight. biggest stessor for me was VERY LONG escalator at CVG - for those who know about my escalator phobia - I worked up quite a sweat on them! flight were great. our customs escort met us which was awesome for those of you travelling - use VIP service - its' worth EVERY PENNEY - we did not get questioned or have to have our luggage searched. Yuri met us there - he's been great. took us to market. yesterady we just hung out and walked around town - beautiful city. except none of the women wear gym shoes. I looked like such an american in my BRIGHT WHITE NEW BALANCE - THANK YOU TISH for your shoe recommendation, I've switched to those and feel like I fit in much better. - we ate at friday's last night - THANK YOU MELISSA for that suggestion. Menus in english, waiters that speak english and the best part - we met an AMERICAN COUPLE!! we ended up eating together - they are here to adopt too. they are having a little difficulty as they are looking for a girl under the age of 5. We have another date with them tomorrow night. with all that's going on at NAC, appts have been fewer so lots of children available. our apartment is great. it has a crib and another small bed - can't wait till we have someone in it - the BED not the crib!. appt is very clean and walking distance to downtown. Last night when we were praying we prayed for God's timing - but I did note that if we get a vote - we're for sooner rather than later. we miss our kiddos at home a ton. have watched a dvd every night - thank God for our laptop and the DVD's Carter packed for us!
Well we have to run - Lisa, our interpreter is meeting us at 11:30 to take us around town. We are actually having fun - have laughed a ton just about having NOTHING on our schedule. Can't talk to each other about what we have done during day cause we are doing ALL TOGETHER!!! Did have a nice conversation about our nasal spray - but won't go into detail here - guess you had to be there! thanks for your notes - hey jennifer you're one to talk about spelling and grammar -geeze! Arica -the kids are excited aobut all your food - they love you Italians! THanks mom and dad for ride to airport what a nice sendoff. hey dorothy hope the boys aren't wearing you out. leta - the snacks have been great - and it's nice to have packaging that we can read. thanks for your prayers and for taking care of our kids at home everyone. hey rachel - have fun at school and take care of your new little sis!

love - Kim and Mark

Wow, so glad to hear all the news from KIEV! Tell Yuri we said hi. We are praying for you guys and keep a watch set to your time to try to figure out what you're doing and WHEN. Glad your nasal spray is keeping you entertained. Elizabeth W. was baptized in worship yesterday morning and we thought of our new little soon-to-be neice or nephew. We're so proud of your decision to do this...what obedience for the sake of His will! All here (and in Ft. Thomas) is fine. We talked with Mama yesterday. Have fun! Keep the updates coming. C&W

Hey, Guys, you're there!!!!! Thanks for sharing all the details - it's just like being there. How awesome that you met another American couple - you will have someone to hang around with -- do they have children at home, too?

I loved Chris' comment about your nasal spray keeping you entertained - she sounds just like you.

What is the time difference? I would like to being praying for what your doing when, too (unless, of course, it is 3 a.m. or something - smile, smile).

Praying for you always - keep us up-to-date.

Love,
Judy
