Another day!

Hey - had another good visit today. Yesterday when we were trying on clothes she was laughing about all the holes in her tights. ALL the girls here wear thick tights under their clothes. SO this morning, we went to a mall downtown and actually found a pair of tights in her size - woo hoo - are we good or what??? She was SO EXCITED and wanted me to come help her change into them. She was having trouble getting them up, so I asked if she wanted help - she LOVED THAT! Once we got them on she sat on the bed and felt them, then named the colors on them (they had a flower print)

We spent some time in her room today with two of her roommates. She has a new roommate (there are 5 of them in the room). She's 12 and very quiet and sad. We watched a movie with her and she actually smiled. Don't know her situation.

Tomorrow we're having company! Yep, Lena's (from Ft. Thomas) mom is coming over with Helen tomorrow at noon. WE bought some cookies and some tea bags. We have four kitchen chairs - so guess we'll sit on those. Big day for us!!! Hopefully our facilitator will be up and around tomorrow as he wants to go to court tomorrow to see what's going on. We took a cab today - got ripped off royally - but . . . we needed him to come back and pick us up at the end of our visit so we didn't argue. Kinda hard to argue when you don't speak the language. Still wasn't that expensive ($16 US one way) but one cabbie had only charged $4 for same trip. Oh well - it all evens out. Here are more pics from the orphanage.
