Very Very Very BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Okay - now it's even colder and it's supposed to continue to get colder throughout the week - then start snowing. WE get our weather reports from Jenny and Linda (remember they don't have heat but they do have BBC). Allie, yes, Anastasia will be in your class. When we get home she will have to make sure that she has all her immunization (ouch) then she'll be there! We've gotten some nice emails from folks who have girls the same age. Victoria - thanks for ordering her girl Scout thin mints - she's never had Girl Scout cookies, but she LOVES chocolate (she is her mother's daughter!) Another little girl from church checked out a book on Russia from the library so she will know more about her - Hyland, you two will have so much fun hanging out together at Crossroads.

WE took a cab to the orphanage today. That worked fine - and we got back to town okay. The kids at the orphanage wanted to watch the Simpsons today. We never let our kids watch the Simpsons at home, but one of my coworkers gave us some Simpson DVDs and we'd never seen the Simpsons - so they saw it in my DVD case. They have obviously watched it as they knew all the characters names. Babushka had surgery on Wednesday -took out 17 kidney stones - yikes! We have not been able to visit her, but hopefully they will move her back to her room at hospital so we can see her. Tomorrow, Grandma's brother is going to ride in taxi with us to orphanage.

Not much else new. We are staying warm in our apartment. Invited Linda and Jennifer to spend night last night - but they passed! We're meeting for dinner and to exchange some DVDs.

Can't wait to see everyone. Each day we're one day closer - right Arica??? - even if we don't know when we're coming home.
Love
Kim and Mark

Kim and Mark, I am keeping up with your blog every day and am so excited for all the Botto's including Anatasia. Be assured of my prayers for you and for your children back home in Kentucky. As you say, "WooHoo!"

We are addicted the the Botto Blog! You guys keep hangin' in there, all of you Bottos... near and far. We keep praying that all 6 are in the same state, soon. (we know, Rachel is a little further South in Lex, right now). One day closer, that's right. Remember keep reading HAB 2:3 that is our favorite verse.

Glad to read the latest and see the pictures of the children. To think what the temperature is there and to see some of the children in short sleeves . . . tough kids!

Just a few more days till you come home! God is good.
