Her Room

When we were in Ukraine, we visited Grandmother's apartment. Grandma pulled some framed embroidery off the wall, pulled the back off of it - and handed it to Kim - and told us that we were to take it to put in Anastasia's room. At that point it had been just several hours since we had met Grandma and we weren't sure what she thought about us. She then proceeded to give us EIGHT jars of mushrooms that she had canned!! Here's a picture of the embroidery. We have framed it and it's in Anastasia's room. Here is a picture of her room. The needlework on her pillow is also from Grandma. Rachel decided to give up her room - she's moved all her stuff into our spare bedroom during our first trip to Ukraine. This is a big week for us. Our facilitator will meet with the judge. Last we heard Grandma is still in the hospital. But it is just a few blocks from the apartment where we stay - so if she's still there it will be easy to visit. Please pray for my buddy Kristin - she will be meeting her daughter Zoe in CHINA TOMORROW - woohoo!! Can't wait for both of our girls to be tucked in safely in their beds in the USA!!

On the right you'll see some new links. We've added a link for the weather and time in Kyiv (or Kiev) as well as a link to a map. Also a link to our favorite basketball team!
